Christmas is just around the corner and things are getting hectic. The hubby did some black Friday shopping this weekend and got some pretty good deals. Right now he is installing the new car stereo player in the car. Its taking a lot longer than he expected because they gave him the wrong wires when he went to buy the kit... He finally got the right ones after going to almost every auto store in town... he went to best buy and they had what he needed. lol :)

I went to watch the new Breaking dawn movie and stood in line 3 hours to see it. I had bought my tickets in October so I knew that I would see it, but I had to wait in line because that's just how it is... lol! I think the Saturday after it premiered I went and saw it again with my friend Nathalie. It was so good to see her again and I hope that we get to spend some more time together soon. The girls hadn't seen each other in a few years and it was as if you hadn't ever separated them. I enjoyed watching them converse and play. It was nice! I miss that!

Andrew's football season is over, but we are thinking that it's right on time for fall baseball season. He's excited about that too! Serenity's in dance still and it's getting close to competitive season time and that means traveling for us! I am excited for that; so is she! :)

I'm sitting here and I'm looking back on things that happened in my life. I realize that I was and am not perfect. I have done some pretty dumb things in my life and I have made allot of mistakes. I know that I have treated some people badly and I have to say that I am sorry for that.

To a certain someone...
I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you when you needed me the most. When your brother passed away and when you needed a shoulder to cry on. When you were dealing with abusive parents and going through things that you should have never had to deal with. I'm sorry that when you were going through hard times that I wasn't there or that I made certain situations about me. I'm sorry that I let certain people get in the way of our friendship. I obviously was so naive at that time that I had no idea that I was hurting you when now that I look back it was obvious to me. I was selfish and inconsiderate. It was rude of me to do these things and to make a bad situation worse. I made things about me at times and I apologize for that! I'm sorry that even after being separated for 2 years that when we made contact again that I did the same thing. I know now that I have things that I need to continuously work on. You were always there for me and I wasn't always there for you. Your family pretty much took me in when I needed it the most and I am so grateful to you and your MiMi and Pau Pau for that. Thank you for being my friend and I'm truly grateful for that!
I will admit to my faults, even the ones that I had no idea what I did at the time and don't know about to this day!

Starting A New Journey!

Started a new journey 2 days ago.
I decided to change my life!
I joined Curves and I am 2 days in and I'm liking it so far. I know that there are going to be days when I just don't want to go and that I just don't feel up to it.
Its hard to fight the urge to just be able to eat whatever I want to when I want to but I know that I have to do something about my weight now so that I can be in my kids lives later!

The hardest part for me so far was when I walked into the Curves and I saw the scale. I am a overweight woman... I know what I weight approximately and I knew right away that the scale would not weight me. I was embarrassed and fearful all at the same time. I was overcome with so many different emotions. I didn't know what to think or even say to the lady at the counter.

I am grateful that I was among people that have been through what I have or have dealt with many of the issues that I have. So far things have gone good. I am praying that by next JULY that I will have lost at 50-75 pounds and will be able to comfortably walk around the cruise ship that my daughters National Dance Competition will be on. I am excited, but I still do not want to get my hopes up!

Hard to Admit!

Wow! I guess that I never realized how some things from my past have hurt me so much. I try hard not to show it and I try to keep it all bottled up inside, but sometimes things need to come out and be said or referenced to. I will never understand how my so called parents went through life thinking that they could treat their children the way that they did and my dad still does. I will never understand why or how someone could have children and mistreat them the way that they do. I have learned to deal with it and move on, but honestly today I have been in a mood thinking about all the things that I missed out on or the fact that I had to grow up a lot faster than most children do.
I was always told that I was no good and that I would never amount to anything... after a while when your young you start to believe what you are being told. I will never have a good relationship with my dad, my mom has passed away and I will never have that closure that I really needed in life. I will never have a good relationship with my one and only sister because we have both been so mistreated and abused that we can not get over the hurt and pain that comes along with it all. I have tried time and time again to reach out and make an effort. I don't know how she feels and she doesn't understand how I feel either. It doesn't matter how long we talk about it or what is said it never gets through either one of us. All I can do is pray and hope that whatever the outcome that I will be OK in the end. I can no longer look at it as it being my fault. I can no longer blame myself and I can no longer take the abuse from others.
I love my sister and my dad... they are my family. I am stuck with them regardless. I will forever LOVE them and need them in my life, but I have to take care of me and mine!
I don't know what to do anymore!

Busy Weekend Again!

I have got a busy busy evening tonight!
Football practice and then heading to Academy to get my sons cleats for football...
Then I have to go to Walmart or to Kmart and make sure that I get gifts for 2 different children for birthday parties that we have after Andrew's football game in the morning. Tomorrow is just as busy and I am probably going to be worn out by the time I get to the second birthday party, but at least I am getting out of the house! lol

I have had a rough couple of days filled with crap that could have been disregarded had I just not listened to it because it never resolved anything anyway!
Oh well Life Goes On!!

I'm ready for my schedule to be busy and I'm ready to get in there and make it all happen. My hubby has to work tomorrow but that's what I like about the fact that I can be independent when I need to be.
I'm glad too cause I get to take my friend and her daughter with me to the b-day party and I get to hang out with the people I love the most! All in all its going to be a great day and weekend!

I choose to have JOY and PEACE in my life from here on out.

I tell the truth and no matter what anyone thinks it doesn't do me any good. I cant please everyone and I refuse to suffer for it.
They can believe what they want to believe; I can not and will not dwell on things of the past because I learned the hard way that it gets you NO WHERE!
I have made peace with things in my life and I will not let anything or anyone bring me down.
I am moving on and if anyone wants to be a part of my life they will make the effort that it takes to do so.

Saying Goodbye Is Never Easy!

It's never easy to say goodbye to someone... Its never easy to have to let someone go.
I know that I am in pain when I have to do these things, but I know that there are reasons unknown that we have to go through these things in life.
Sadly we lost a special person yesterday due to an accident that never should have happened.

He was one of the nicer people that made the effort to get to know you when you met him and he was a really sweet guy. A great father and a great man all around.
You will be greatly missed Johnny!

Busy Weekend!

Both my babies are active in their own activities and I am thankful that they are into their own things.
We are going to be very busy this weekend.
Serenity will be performing with the high school top-cats team during the high school football game tomorrow night... and then Saturday morning will be Andrew's first official football game with the Sharks team that he is on.
We are excited to start the football season and to watch our son play. I am also grateful for such good friends (more like family) that come and watch him play when they don't have to.
Its going to be a crazy weekend and I can't wait to get it started!!

Remembering all the Pain

Ok! So I am totally missing my friends from Ky right now. Sometimes I sit and think about what it would have been like had my mom not decided to abandon me and send me to live with my dad in TX. For a long time I hated her for doing what she did and at times I think about it and I still get angry. I had a great life in Ky... I had friends and FAMILY living there. Things weren't great but I was HOME and I was HAPPY! I know that if things hadn't turned out the way that they did that I wouldn't have the Loves of my life right now! I am eternally grateful to God for my children and my husband. I hate that I had to stand at the terminal and say goodbye to the bestest friend that God gave me and know that I wasn't coming back...

You see my mom had told me that I was going to visit my dad for 2 weeks; so I was excited and nervous at the same time. I was happy to go see him and scared cause I hadn't seen him in 4 years. I didn't know who my dad was anymore so I was scared to death that I wasn't going to like my trip at all. Needless to say... my mom decides to tell me right before I bored the plain to fly and see him for what I thought was a visit; that I wasn't coming back. That this trip was permanent and that I was going to live with my father. I had no idea!!

I told her that I hated her and that I never wanted to see her again... I didn't and I meant every word.

I had to tell my best friend that I wasn't coming back and say goodbye forever... (not knowing that I would come and visit from time to time when I could)

It hurts to have to deal and go through something like this when your a sophomore in high school.

I am grateful that to this day I am still friends and will forever love my friend Becky. I have gained a friend through her (her Hubby WALLY) and the love of a little girl that is her daughter! I LOVE YOU REBECCA!!

You know whats crazy? I have tried and tried many a time to be on your side and to listen to what you have to say. I have tried to be friends and I have tried to make time for you in my life. I refuse to go out of my way anymore.
I don't get why you complain about how your kids don't have friends and that your kids are neglected when it comes to family. I made sure that I invited you and you neglected... That is on you! I am tired of trying and then being told that its my fault that we don't have a relationship.

I know that things have been said about me behind my back... sad thing is that you say it to the people that I consider family. I get blamed for things that I had no part in.

What's Happening?

I'm sitting here watching my kiddos play Dance Central on the XBOX!! They are having a blast.
I love watching my kids being active and just having fun. It makes my heart happy. I love it!
I love that I can make the time to make sure that they are happy and we sacrifice allot so that they can do the things that they love.
I want to make sure that they stay active and that they are healthy in every way that I can. Nothing will keep me from that.

We have signed Andrew up for football finally and he is so excited. He is finally at that age that he can do something that he wants to and he is old enough to do it. There really aren't allot of things for boys under the age of 4-5 to do... at least that I have found anyway!
Thankfully though its all starting now and I am going to love watching him play football. Plus I cant wait till the fall when he can try out for baseball as well. AHHH! I am going to be one busy momma. Maybe I'll lose some weight in the process. That would be so nice.

I plan on joining a gym if I can so that while the kids are school I can go and workout and try and lose some much needed pounds. Please PRAY that this works out and that I can keep up with it.

Michael's job has been doing good so we are doing good now that he has a steady job that actually pays him when they say they are going to. I'm praying that everything stays steady and that we are able to start paying off debts that we have. Our credit needs to come up so that we can start planning on maybe getting into a house!

I need to update a few things on here and get some new pictures up. I will be sure to do that over the next couple of days.

I have been sitting here at the house today thinking too much on certain things. It has been bugging the crud out of me that my husbands check hasn't come in when he was supposed to be paid on the 30th.
I don't get why this keeps happening and why they keep letting it happen.

My baby girl has been so sick

I got a call from Serenity's school on Thursday saying that she was in the nurses office and was crying because her throat was hurting her. The nurse said that she checked her throat and it looked like she had puss pockets on her right side. So of course my first thought was that she had strep throat.
BINGO!
We went straight to the Dr's. office and they took her right in. Sure enough she had strep. Its now Tuesday and I took her in yesterday morning and she had come down with MONO... ugh!!!
I am so stressed as it is with all the crap going on... I really don't want her to have to miss everything just because she has gotten sick.
She has been on the new medicine since yesterday and she is already 75% better.
This makes for good news. She has Dance practice tonight twice and she has a kickball game as well. She is going to be worn out... I just don't want to drain her to the point that she gets sick again.
Tomorrow she has splash day at school for making A honor roll and I don't know if I want to let her participate because I don't need her starting the process of getting sick all over again.

I am going to be one busy busy momma!

This morning has been so crazy, crazy hectic. I woke up on the early side (for me) this morning. I had to make sure that I got the seats for Serenity's recital bought and paid for at a good time or we wouldn't have gotten good seats. Sadly I didn't have the hubby's help and had to get the neighbor (Ben and Michelle) to help me cause I had no idea what I was doing by myself. Thankfully too; they were able to print them out for me because we don't have any ink in our printer.

What a load off my shoulders for the day!!

This weekend is Serenity's competition in Houston and we will be driving up there on Friday afternoon. I want to be sure that we get there with enough time to relax the night before. I am trying to find a shirt by Friday that says DANCE MOM on it all blinged out... we will have to see how that goes considering I am plus size it might be hard to find!

I am looking forward to this weekend!

Wow! Talk about some stress lately! lol
We have been incredibly busy to say the least!
With Kickball and Dance coming together Serenity has had to miss a few games due to the fact that the schedules conflict.
Serenity has another dance competition coming up in Houston TX. on the 20th of May.
We are excited to get to go to Houston and see her perform for people that have never seen her perform.

We have been pretty crazy busy since Easter and it doesn't look like its going to stop anytime soon. We have a kickball tournament again this weekend and then we also have my nieces birthday party to attend and then we have to get EVERYTHING ready for this this trip to Houston.
We are hoping to be able to have some free time while we are up there as well, but we will have to see how the schedule looks!

Our Stingrays had a kickball tournament in Flour Bluff today and they played hard. It was an all day affair and the did such a good job! They didn't win any of the 3 games that they played, but the point is that they had fun! They even got a trophy at the end for playing so hard and doing such a good job! I am so proud of our Stingrays!

So I went to her BLOG and read the post that she had posted and began to cry. Mainly because I had no idea how she was feeling. I hate that I can't be there for her when she needs me the most. I am glad though that she has someone to turn to when she is in need. Christ!
I feel for her as she is going through this tough time in her life with trying to conceive and still grieving the child that she lost almost 2 years ago.
I pray for her often and try to do my best with keeping ion touch with her as I can.

Through this storm I know that this too shall pass and that God will make a way when there seems to be no way! He is so Great and I can't help but think of all that He has done for me.

Another Busy Weekend!

Today starts off with me stressing to the point that I got an upset stomach because I couldn't find my daughters Dance outfit and I couldn't find her purple tights for another outfit!
WE HAVE DANCE PICTURES THIS WEEKEND!!!
It's going to be a very busy day starting this afternoon.
I have to rush after she gets out of school and make sure that she has a dressier dress for her 3 year dance picture and then I have to make sure that I do her hair in curls and do her make up!

I am excited and nervous about the entire thing, but I am glad that she enjoys Dance so much and that I don't hinder her from doing the things that she loves!
I don't see how some people can say that they will put their kids in something and then when it comes down to it they don't do it. They make promise after promise and don't come through with it!
I went through that with my parents and I will not put my children through that!

I am looking forward to some relaxation this weekend though!
Serenity has been invited to 2 different birthday parties this weekend with friends from school and dance! She has one on Saturday with a girl from Teffany's and kickball at the child's house and then she has one on Sunday with a girl at the Aquatic center in Port Aransas!
We are looking forward to this because it has been such a busy few weeks for us and the kids are just ready to go swimming.
I have had to keep Serenity from too much sun because she has Dance pictures and as her Dance instructor says... Sunburn and Dance pictures don't mix! lol

Busy Busy BEE!!!

We have had a very busy past few weeks!

With our friend Benjamin having back surgery and our daughters kickball games, and Dance classes and Ben and Michelle are moving next door to us as well.
Everything seems to be going on all at once!
I have to say that I am thankful for being busy and keeping busy! I want nothing more than to be out of the house and on my feet as much as I can be.

Serenity has been doing so well with kickball lately... They recently won their 1st game! Sad I know considering they have played about 4 or 5 now! LOL

She loves it though and I am grateful.
She loves dance even more and I can see that, but she wants to do both. She is also now wanting to go back to gymnastics and get further into learning certain moves and things.

I am so proud of her and can not wait till her next performance in Houston Texas in May!

I am looking forward to signing Andrew up for football in August and hoping that he enjoys it and stays in it. I am ready to see him get into something that we can all watch and enjoy while he plays!

Serenity had a surprise Dance Competition.
Sadly we were out of town due to a friend having back surgery and were unable to attend.
They won several awards for this dance and we are so proud of them!

Grandma and Aunt Aurora had to go in our place.
I was so bummed that I didn't get to see my daughter perform, but I am so glad that someone thought to record it!
Aunt Aurora was supposed to record it, but while recording dropped her camera and it deleted the video! things happen! But we are so happy to be able to share it with you!

Kickball has begun!

We are so excited, yet nervous. We have so much going on and to do.
Serenity still has dance in the midst of it all so we have to make sure that we stay on track and do what is important!
She may miss a few games of kickball due to dance, but I figure that Dance is something that I pay more for. So the decision isn't hard. ;op

R.I.P. Jacob Black

OK! I hope I didnt freak anyone out by the title of my post, but I have lost one of my best friends.

I lost my Jakey, Jaker's, Jake!
Sadly we found him Thursday morning laying in the grass. He was covered in ants and wasnt breathing. He had passed in the night somehow. We do not know how or what happened to him.
We will more than likely never know.

This is Jake when we first brought him home. He was a sweet and lovable little guy!

This is my BOY lounging on our sofa!This is something that he did daily. He watched over my babies as they bathed. It was funny to see him there every time!

I have been so lucky to be able to stay at home and enjoy the time that I get to spend with my kiddo's and the occasional time that I get to spend with the Husband.

I am so grateful for all that the Lord has bestowed upon our lives and the joy that we get to share as a family.
I love my life and I call us BLESSED!

Yesterday was a normal day for us, except that my husband had to stay home from work due to being sick. Him and Andrew are both sick and Andrew has Strep!! Great I know right! UGH!!

Well the day wasn't totally a waste. We were sitting here at home having a lazy day when I went to my FB page and read that someone was getting rid of their daughters bed and dresser. I needed a dresser for my kids so I figured I would send the hubby up the road to go and at least check it out.Well he came home with a bed mattress included, dresser, desk, writing/art table, side table, and a bookshelf/TV center. I was shocked because like I said I thought he would just pick up the dresser and come home, but I am so thankful for the fact that Serenity's dance teacher was sweet enough to give us everything because her daughter was ready to get a bigger bed! Serenity loves it too because its new to her and we are grateful! It is in great condition!Serenity seems to like it! She crashed right away! lol

My baby girl has her first competitive dance competition this weekend.

Its going to be an all day event and I'm sure that I am going to be exhausted when its all said and done with.

I can honestly say that I am looking forward to it though!!

All I can think about is how much she has grown in the last 2 years and the fact that she is so smart and knows what she is doing. She has really shown me how into dance that she is and shows so much promise.

She is constantly practicing and asking questions to be sure that she is doing everything right!

She tries so hard and makes sure that she does it just right every time that she gets the chance.

I am so proud that she is my daughter and I can not wait to share with everyone how she does! I look forward to posting this weekend letting you all know!

I have had it rough the last few days. I have been bursting out in tears for no apparent reason and thinking about things that are off the wall.
Oh well! That's just me I guess!

I have been thinking about some special people in my life. It seems to happen to me allot about this time of year, with income tax and spring break right around the corner.

Its good to have a GREAT "Christian" friend that you know that you can count on and turn to whenever you need them. I have that in my friend Rebecca!

We are actually in the process of making the plans again to go up to Kentucky and see them when we know that we have the time and the income to do so.

We have tried to do this every few years when we know that we have what we need to do so and make it there.

I miss her and her family so much. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about her! The last time that I saw her was almost 2 years ago in July and I was sick with kidney issues and in the hospital. I am grateful to her and her husband Wally because they took us in when we needed help and I was in the ER!

I love you Rebecca, Wally, and Ruth. I can not wait to see you again and revisit all the memories that we have had and to make even more.

This is my beautiful little niece Ruth Anne Stickrod! She is the most precious little girl and I can not wait to meet her!

We almost got to greet her when she was born, but sadly a few days before she was born I had to return home to Texas so that I could finish treatment here and get better!

Some day soon we will get to meet and you will have me wrapped around your pretty little finger!

I used to rationalize keeping certain people in my life: they’re family, we have a history, they need a friend, etc. I thought I would feel guilty about letting them go…but in actuality I feel so much lighter, and without the massive energy drain, I feel more capable of creating and sustaining positive relationships.

I don't have a relationship with my father... there is nothing that I can do about that.I have tried and tried to reach out to him and to talk to him.

No one not one person is perfect, but I can only do so much when it comes to my dad. He wants no part in my life; that is the choice that he has made on his own. With that comes the fact that he doesn't have anything to do with my kids. I'm fine with that as of this moment.

It was such a crazy weekend! We had the worst weather like I said in the before post and it was so cold that I was in no way going to let the kids go out in it no matter what the circumstances!

We didn't exactly get any snow in our neck of the woods, but it seems like everyone around us did. Life is funny that way I guess! lol

We did get allot of ice... to the point that they had to close the freeways and we had a record breaking number of car wrecks and abandoned vehicles! Crazy I know!

For those of you who are used to this weather your probably thinking that we are weird or nuts for freaking out when we get this cold in our area. lol I laugh too because I used to live in Ky. HAHA Yeah you'd think I would be used to the weather that we got here. It was so cold and I was in no way ready or used to it.

My kids loved it! Andrew liked it till he got sick and couldn't do anything for the entire weekend and he hated that.

We are doing better now except for me... I got sick in the process and have yet to start feeling better!

I will be sure to post pictures when I find my camera of what our car looked like with all the ice and the neighbors car too. We even took a picture of the lonely freeways! lol

Can you believe it?!?

Me either!!

We South TEXANS are expected to get at least 2-3 inches of snow in the next few days. They are shutting down roads and freeways as I type this. It's crazy how us Texans are so excited about such a little amount of snow.

We never get snow!! NEVER!

My kids are thrilled and excited. I hope that we don't miss it!

Hopefully my next post will have pictures of snow!!

The roads are already iced over and the cars are covered as well with ice.

The sidewalks are slick and its colder than all get out outside! haha

My kids school is closed till Monday and so are all the area businesses!

We are going to be inside for the most part; so I'm thinking about making cookies tomorrow with the kids!

My Weekend!

I had the best time at my friend Tamela's house last night! Serenity had gotten Icerays tickets (hockey) from school for A honor roll and didnt want to go so we both went to Tamela and Marcos' house while Andrew and Daddy went to the hockey game. We got pizza from Little Caesars and I think Meliza brought Hot Wings! We ate and played games while the kids watched the movie Marmeduke and played the Wii.

All in all it was a great night! I'm just sad that I didn't get to take pictures!

Today was eventful as well because it was my friend Tia's wedding shower and it was beautiful! I can not wait to see her at her wedding! She was blessed today by our church family. She made out like a bandit! lol

Tomorrow is church and I am hoping and praying that we get to go. When I got home from the shower Andrew had a low grade fever that I am trying to nurse down.

I asked him to go to his room and pray that God would take the fever away and he did that and came out telling me that he feels better already! How cute are kids? :)

Just to let you in on a little secret...

Hubby is doing great on his NEW job!

He really likes it and I'm so glad that he feels like he is doing his part again.

Mind you he has always done his part, he just has never really felt that way when he didn't have a job!

I am so proud and honored to be his wife and I am grateful to God for His timing and His hand of protection upon us.

Just goes to show you that "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed nothing will be impossible for you." God will be your Jehovah Jireh!

We studied this in church last night with our woman of the church, and our pastors wife explained to us that it means

"He will see to it"

Isn't that just so amazing to know that He is the Jehovah Jireh and He will see to it that it is done!

The Lord answered my our prayers that I have had for about 2 years now.

My husband has a JOB!!

I am so excited yet; I am so emotional at the same time.

God has provided for us this entire time. We may not have liked the fact that Michael didn't have a job, but he provided with unemployment while it lasted and he is providing now.

As promised the Lord is taking care of us and our little family.

I call us blessed!!

Here is how it happened...

We were in church this past Sunday and I asked for prayer from the church family and they prayed for those that were in need of jobs and financial assistance. A dear Brother in Christ that we know very well was sitting in the pew in front of us and he leaned over during song service and asked Michael for his information (like the basics) what he knows and his experience and whatnot. He said that he would talk to those he knew and see if he could find anything. So we waited...

Well Michael was called on Thursday for another position that he had applied for at the Robstown Tx. prison for a corrections officer. They called him and told him that they needed him to come in the next day and to bring a pen. To be there at 9 am. So he did just that!

Well it was an all day thing and the whole time I was a nervous wreck because I had a bad feeling all day and I really didn't want him working in an environment like that to begin with. He was there from 9am. to about 2pm.

When he got home I asked him to call the man from the church that took his info and to ask him what and if he had heard anything or talked to anyone. He called and he got the mans voicemail. So he left a brief message.

Troy ( the man from the church) had his wife call us a few hours later and asked for Michael's cell number and wanted to talk to him. I went and took a shower thinking that it was nothing and that he would tell me whatever it was when he got off the phone.

Needless to say I was wrong!!

IT WAS A VERY BIG SOMETHING!!!

It was a... JOB!!!

Praise the Lord!! We have been praying for this like I said for 2 long years and hoping and believing that God was going to provide Michael with something.

I was a wreck... In a good way!

I was crying and laughing and wanting to run around the apartment complex screaming and shouting because God answered our prayers and He heard my cries!!

He is an amazing God and I am so grateful for all that He does.

I will be sure to tell you and fill you in on what the job details are as soon as I know more.

Thank you to those of you that helped us to pray that God would provide and He did! Just like He said.

back to church!!

So I decided to go ahead and cut my bangs because I just needed something new and the fact that I have been breaking out during that certain time; well it makes it easier to hide all the breakout on my forehead!

I tried a new look all together today for church and got allot of compliments on it too! I'm excited to be back in church and for my kids to be going as well. That is my desire! I want nothing more than for my kids to be in church and to be following and serving God with their whole hearts and lives!

It was so nice walking into our Church and and knowing that we are loved even when we have been gone for almost 2 years or so. That is what is so great about Country Tabernacle. The moment that I walked into that church when I was a teenager I knew that was the place for me. I was accepted with open arms and have been ever since and when we went back last week it was the same thing! I love that so much!!

We had to say goodbye tonight to a very special young man at the church; he is leaving to college on Tuesday!! He will be greatly missed!! We had a small fellowship at the church to see him off! It was nice to be able to sit down with those that we haven't seen in a while and talk like we used to. I'm so glad that we have made the choice to go back and to stick with it. There are allot of changes that are going to made around our house hold and I am looking forward to it!

Tomorrow we are going to the Texas State Aquarium because it is my nieces 10th birthday and they are having it there. It is also dollar day due to the fact that it is MLK Day! So I plan in taking lots of pictures and stuff with and of the kids. So be prepared that I will be posting those on here as well.

It has been a crazy week with the kids being off school due to the livestock show. The kids have been going crazy because it has been so cold outside that we haven't been able to do very much. I am trying to find things for them to do during the day. I am looking forward to Monday when we can take the kids to the Aquarium and get them out of the house for a while.

We recently had a crazy storm go through the city and a few tornadoes touch down, so some of the usual places have been closed due to damage from the storm. I am thinking about taking the kids to the park later today after I bundle them up. By the time I get them bundled up they'll be able to run into a corner with our getting hurt and bounce off!! lol

The only thing that I do not look forward to on Monday when we go to the Aquarium for my nieces birthday is the fact that my dad is supposed to be there! I do not look forward to seeing him in any way! I am not ashamed to say that I have nothing to do with this man. I don't want anything to do with a man that has put me down all my life. I don't appreciate someone that causes so much stress in my life!! I refuse to give him the time of day. He only calls when he wants something and I don't find that amusing nor do I find it appropriate. My sister is worried that something will happen at her daughters party, but as I already informed her. I will not be talking to him and I will not be associated with him; so there shouldn't be a problem!!

Enough about that!!

Hard Times... Its time for a change!!

Things have been so stressful lately! I have had to deal with the fact that my husband lost his job almost 2 years ago and that unemployment is about to run out. And yes he has yet to find a job. Not that he isn't looking because he has been. We are broke as broke can be. We can barely afford gas in the car for him to go to interviews and pick up applications. We have been literally living pay check to pay check (unemployment checks). Barely making rent and utilities and having enough for food.

I am grateful for what we have and that we have a roof over our head and I know that things will get better. God is going to make a way! I know He will. The hardest part is just waiting and having to think about it every day. I don't like sitting here and having to stress about it. It doesn't help and it doesn't do any good.

My prayer is that my husband finds a job soon and that we can get back on our feet. Its hard enough having to worry about how we are going to pay what. I don't want to have to wait till unemployment runs out and then have to worry about what we are going to do because we have no money coming in at all.

I can not work right now due to back issues. I have a herniated disc and fractures in my spine. Not to mention the continuous kidney issues that I have.

Please pray for my family and that things will get better; mainly that my husband gets a job!!

I need the Lord in my life now more than ever!!

Starting Fresh and New in 2011

Okay first of all it takes me forever to get used to writing a new year in the date everyday! lol

Guess that I am going to have to get used to it yet again... Although it seems as though I just got used to writing 2010 and now its 2011! Just seems like 2010 went by so fast and that I missed allot.

I did miss allot due to my kidney issues and the fact that I was so sick this past year!

I am looking forward to this year and am very motivated by a great friend of mine.

Her name it Tamela and I look forward to what our progress is going to be. I am so thankful to her. She posted on my Facebook page the other day that I needed to contact her because she wanted to talk to me about something and I called her. She told me that she was motivated to lose weight this year and thought about me and thought that I might like to join her in trying to motivate each other and lose weight.

I am looking forward to what this new year brings and all the changes that I hope will happen. Already we have been texting each other to motivate one another. Letting each other know the struggles we have during the day and the things we are doing to help ourselves and what we can do to help each other. I am so thankful that I have someone to share this with.

I am also trying to make sure that I get out more with my family and especially with my kids. I feel as though I have deprived them from some things because I have been so lazy and haven't been wanting to get out of the house due to my weight. I am determined to just get out and do it. I know that I have some limitations due to back pain and health issues but I need to do this for myself and my kids.

Still praying that my Husband Michael finds the job that is right for him and that he will be able to provide for our family as he always has. I am thankful for the man God ordained for me and I am grateful each day that he takes the effort and time to look for the job that I know God has for him.

Lord send the Rain

Wow! So it has been raining here in Corpus Christi, TX. for about 3-4 days now and we just heard that it isn't going to let up till at least Thursday! It's starting to get scary because the water is already coming into our doorway and the swimming pool that is right in front of our front walkway is already flooded over into the sidewalks and the entryway!

I know that it is Hurricane season and all, but it never rains like this!

A friend of mine posted on her Facebook this morning that she swears that she thought she saw all the neighborhood animals stating to line up 2 by 2! lol

OK you and I both know that's not going to happen.

God put a rainbow in the cloud and that is His promise to us to let us know that wont happen again!

I love the rain, don't get me wrong; its just that in this much quantity its ridiculous!!

I said a few days ago that I am looking forward to the cooler weather that comes with Fall, but I never thought that all this rain would fall the way that it is.

I remember I was working in a little donut shop and listening to K-99 country music and had the small TV on above me and all of a sudden the news broke that a plane had crashed into the first building!

Please pray for my blogger friend Traci's sister in law Jessica!!

She is in desperate need of prayer! Jessica is 17 weeks pregnant with a son, Gabriel Zachary! Here's where the prayers are desperately needed:

At her routine 12 week visit, the doctor found 2 hemorrhages inside of her womb. In the course of 5 weeks, one has passed but the other has grown. It now makes up 75% of the uterine lining.

It is attached to the placenta which is lying partially over her cervix. The placenta has torn away from the uterine wall.

The doctors say that every week she is pregnant is a miracle, and they are truly baffled when she returns pregnant.

Her specialist, who is also a Christian, said that it will be a miracle if she makes it to viability (24 weeks), and that there’s nothing he can do to help her get to that point.

Thankfully he knows that it is our miracle-working Savior who can remedy this whole situation for His glory. As of today's visit (September 9th), they just want Jessica to get to 22 weeks ( 4.5 more weeks) before putting her in the hospital for daily monitoring and steroid injections.

They don’t believe she'll be pregnant by Thanksgiving. Gabriel Zachary has grown on track thus far.

There will come a time when what’s left of the placenta won’t be enough to keep him growing...

Stress and the way I feel at the moment!

Here I am and I feel hopeless!

I don't know what it is that makes me feel this way, but I don't like it!

I feel as though everything around me is crashing down and I can not do anything about it. Its hard to think that its been over a year that my husband lost his job and has yet to be able to find something! I feel as though this is a test or that there is something that is holding us back.

I know that the Lord has a way of doing things; Especially in His timing.

I know that when one door closes another one is opened and that He will never give us or have us go through anything that we can not handle.

Even through all of this I sit here still in amazement for what He has done for me and the best thing is that I know that He is always there for us!

I want nothing more in my life right now than to follow Him and to be in His will not my own!

My main goal is just that!

I have a hard time right now though!

My weight keeps me from so much at the moment!

I don't want to hide behind what I look like and feel like anymore. I want to be able to go to church and not feel as if people are judging me (I know that my church family isn't that way)! I just want to feel normal and accepted!

I thank the Lord everyday that He placed me with a husband that loved me for who I am and not what I look like... I know that he cares for me more than anything and that he wants me to be happy, but I know he wouldn't mind me being thinner either!

I dream of being 100's of pounds lighter, but I don't know if that will ever be more than just a dream!

I worry and I stress and for me that leads to more stress eating and then more stress!

I don't know what to do or think half the time!

I want to be here for my family! My husband and the kids!

I want to be here and be happy!!

She is no longer here with us.

She is in heaven and she is healthy and strong.

She is where she is needed and needs to be.

I feel comfort when I think of her now and I know that she is happy!
