Sunday Morning

Today was an absolutely beautiful day!
We woke up early and made sure that we had plenty of time to get ready for church and eat.
Its a long ride to the church and we no longer have AC in the car; so we want to be sure that everyone is happy and content when we have to take a ride like that.
So we went to church and had an awesome service.
I was really looking forward to it today because we haven't been in a while and I really needed to go and be refreshed. God truly refreshed my spirit and helped me through allot of struggles that I have had in the past few months.
I am looking forward to next week as well. I can not tell you how it felt to step back into our church again.
We came home from church and had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. I love home cooked food.
We took a long lazy nap and then woke up and watched a family fun movie together.

Now I am looking forward to the week ahead.

If you read my blog and you get the chance; please remember me in prayer this week as I have a Dr's. appointment on Thursday with the urologist.
Thanks again!

Lost in stupidity at times

Don't you hate it when you know that you have something and you know that you know that you have it but it aggravates you because you cant fond it anywhere.
Well I lost a dress of Serenity's and I couldn't find it anywhere, knowing that I had let her take it to grandma's to wear to church. I knew that I had let them take it to their house and whatnot, but I didn't know where it had went from there.
I wasn't accusing anyone that they had taken it or lost it, but I swore up and down that it was at grandmas house and I thought that I looked everywhere over here at the house.
Well come to find out I found it here at the house in the bottom of the closet in a plastic bag. Meaning that I had let them borrow it but that they sent it back dirty in a plastic grocery sack and I guess that I or one of the kids had thrown in it in the bottom of the closet.
Go figure.
So now I look like a moron and I had to call and apologize to my Mother In Law and that is a hard task in and of itself.
That's another story!

My day

Today is already turning out to be a hectic day, but I am looking forward to tonight.
Tonight is Miranda's birthday party since her birthday is on Monday.
I have no clue what to get the child even though I should considering I spend so much time with her. Even though I haven't gotten to much lately.
I woke up this morning with yet another migraine and pain in my spine.
What else can I do other than pray. Nothing else seems to help other than taking pills that make me feel like a zombie. That to me isn't really an option because I have two kids that I have to take care of.
I am looking forward to going back to church in the morning. I haven't been in a while.
It felt good to get a much needed phone call from an old friend that I haven't spoken to in a while. It feels good to know that I can rely on someone that I honestly thought that I wouldn't be able to talk to after all that has gone on.

I am looking forward to going to church in the morning although I am hesitant at the same time. I have a few things that I am not proud of that I am sure that people are going to judge me over. Even though I know that no matter what the bible says and what people say, judgment is always passed on people and the way that they look and act.
I have had a bad year and I have done plenty of things that aren't appropriate in many eyes and I'm sure aren't great in the Lord's eyes either, but I am the one that has to deal with that all on my own.

What do you want to do when you grow up?
Serenity: a teacher
Andrew: No grow up

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Serenity: to a restaraunt
Andrew: ...at home...

What's your favorite girls name?

Serenity: Ashley
Andrew: Miranda

If your life was made into a movie, who would you want to play you?

Serenity: Hannah Montana
Andrew: Batman

What do you think is more important: Good looks or brains?

Serenity: Brains
Andrew: What's brains? I told him it's what makes you smart; then I asked him do you want to look good or be smart and he says "smart".

Can I handle It?

After all that I have been through with the past few months, I think that I could handle anything that comes or gets thrown my way.
I am ready for anything!
I'm sure that when my appointment comes up on the 3rd that I will be hearing some pretty harsh news, but I'm sure that I will be prepared for whatever it may be.
I know that I need to be here for my kiddo's and the hubby as much as I can and I can only do better from here.
Not knowing the outcome as of yet; I am sure that I am in for a long Journey.

I am glad that I have someone to walk through that journey with and I will be forever grateful for Him and what He has done for me over the years.
He has never left me; yet I have strayed from Him many a time. He always receives me with open arms.

Thank You Lord for your walk with me!

Today's agenda:
1. Serenity and Michael off to school.
2. Andrew and I off to the Dr's. Office at 9.
3. Lunch with Mike at 12:30.
4. Pick up Serenity at 3:30.
5. Head to Ballet at 6.
6. Home and Dinner and 8.
7.Bed at 9.

Not so great weekend and a great Start to Monday

Well let me tell you, I have been very sick the past few days and I am slowly starting to feel better.
I woke up on Wednesday morning with a horrible migraine and I though OK I can take something for that. Well it didn't work so I tried to lay down and after being asleep for about 30 minutes I woke up to a fever of 103 and chills that I just couldn't shake off of me.
I have been like that ever since. Today I finally feel some relief and my fever has come down to right at 99.9 degrees. While being this sick I was unable to keep anything down and was constantly nauseated and light headed. I didn't feel the need to go to the ER or anything because I am pretty sure that they would have sent me home saying that I just need to take Tylenol or something to get rid of the fever.
So sad to say that is the reason that I have failed to keep anyone up to date with anything.
I apologize for not writing and letting anyone know or asking for prayers.

In other news; Serenity starts school in the morning.
Everything is ready to go for in the morning. Serenity has been in bed since 8 and all her things are set out for in the morning. Backpack, clothes, shoes and socks, and even her hair supplies. She is excited as much as we are. Michael is ready to go as well... The Lord has answered our prayers and opened the door for Michael to be able to attend College. PRAISE GOD from whom all blessings flow! Amen!!!

Hope that everyone had a wonderful and fabulous weekend.

New Addiction

I have to say that I have a new addiction to the show Lost.
I have been watching the entire series from beginning till at least the 4th season for over two weeks now. Season 5 hasn't made it to Netflix yet; so I am waiting on that one.
I don't know exactly why I even started watching it, but now its like I have to know whats going on next.
So hopefully they will bring it to Netflix before the 6th and final season airs in early 2010.
Guess that I will be waiting in anticipation until then.
Just thought that I would share that tad bit of information...
LOL and thanks!

Leave Out All the Rest

There is a song that I found on the Twilight movie soundtrack that I love.
Its a great song and has so much meaning to it.
If you listen to it; it tells you how when someones dies they want to be remembered for who they are as a good person and not as someone who was a sinner back in the day. Well that is how I take it anyway.
I have been through allot of turmoil in my life and I have done allot of things that I am not proud of, but when I leave this world behind me I want people to be able to look back and say that I was a good person and to be able to remember that I was full of the word and God's love.
Read the lyrics and tell me what you get from it...

LEAVE OUT ALL THE REST

I dreamed I was missing
You were so scared
But no one would listen
Cause no one else cared
After my dreaming
I woke with this fear
What am I leaving
When I'm done here
So if you're asking me
I want you to know
-------------------
[Chorus]
-----------------
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
-------------------
Don't be afraid
I've taken my beating
I've shared what I made
I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through
I've never been perfect
But neither have you
So if you're asking me
I want you to know
--------------------
[Chorus]
-----------------
Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
----------------------
[Chorus]
-----------------
Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
I can't be who you are

It's time for the very first installment of Short Answers! To join in, just ask the kid(s) in your life the five questions below, and write down their answers word for word. Post 'em on your blog and link up!

Me: Why do people wear deodorant?
Serenity: i don't know; so they will smell good

Me: Where would you like to take your family on vacation some day?

Serenity gets to meet her teacher

We will be leaving in a few hours to go and meet with Serenity's teacher. We will be finishing the last of her enrollment and meeting the teacher for the first time.
Serenity is excited and nervous at the same time.

I look forward to it; I am glad that she is ready to go back to school. She is constantly asking me when school starts and when she gets to ride the bus.
I will be back later with more info as to what happens tonight after wards and how it all goes.

Monday' Monday

Today starts off a busy week ahead and we are jumping right into it full speed.
I am looking forward to getting things done around the house while also going into town and getting things done as well.
Mike's sister Aurora is 19 today and my MIL is out of town with family so we will be helping her to celebrate it. I am looking forward to this because we haven't gotten to spend that much time with that side of the family in a while.
~Everything for school is officially bought and Serenity picked out her own shoes. She calls em' kicker's...I think she gets that from her Aunt Aurora.
She has all her uniform shirts, shorts, pants, and skirts that she needs for the entire year.
We are really looking forward to the first day.
Tomorrow she meets her teacher as well.
Serenity goes to school for the entire day until 3pm. so that is a milestone in and of itself. Last year she only went half day so going all day is a big deal. On top of that she will have Ballet during the week and I'm sure that I will not have much if any problems with her falling asleep at night.
We haven't done naps in a while, so its good to know that she will not have a real problem going to sleep.
Andrew on the other hand is my night owl...

Going into town...

It's Saturday; and that means that it's date night for me and Michael.
We are going to go out to eat at Olive Garden and then to the movies.
I have no clue as to what we are going to watch, but I am thinking something along the lines of action or romance. Most likely action.
Also we are about to head out into town so we can get Serenity's hair cut, because we didn't get to do that yesterday. We are also going out to town to get Serenity some more leotards, tights, and ballet shoes. She starts on Wednesday, so we have allot to get ready and to do.
I bought her a cool little hair contraption that makes a bun in her hair and makes it look absolutely perfect.
I am looking forward to her first class and getting to meet her teacher and her classmates.

It's a BOY!!!

We went to Danielle's Dr's Appointment today to find out what she is expecting.
We found out that she is having a little boy.
I am so excited for their family.
Little Boys are fun and I am glad that she is having a Boy as well; because Connor; her youngest is in need of a friend that will be closer to his age.
Today was a long day in the fact that we had allot to do and get done.
Nutter is happily resting in his new home and I am glad that we decided to help him in the way that we did, because I know that he is better off.

Squirrel~We Named Him Nutter

I was watching Lost last night on Netflix and I kept hearing a squeaking noise... The A/C kicked off and I kept hearing it thinking...CRAP we must have mice or something.
Well much to my surprise; I followed the squeak and found that it was coming from outside and so I went to investigate.
Well to my surprise it was a baby squirrel that the outside cat was just sitting there batting around playing with it. Had no intentions of killing it, but playing with it.
So I of course took it in and decided to try and nurse it back to health.
He made it to the morning and was just fine. I called a vet to see what I should do and was referred to a lady in the area that takes in these animals(they consider them wild) and she continued to tell me that it is ILLEGAL to keep a squirrel in your home. Needless to say; we took him to the lady in town and she is going to nurse him back to health and then eventually release him.
I am excited for him, yet sad that he had to go; but I know that its for the best.
We are going to keep contact till he is released and receive pictures and whatnot.
We took a few of our own at home as well...

Update: Sadly Nutter didnt make it through the night last night! He passed away due to the enjuries that he recieved from the pesky cat that was playing with him.

New Signature and Danielle's Dr's. Appt.

Just thought that I would test out the new signature that I made.

It's a miracle; it actually rained in Corpus Christi, TX. today.
It has been so long since it has rained here; I guess that you could say that we are in a drought.
The outside cat Marvin just killed a bird and left it at my sister's doorstep. You know how they say that they like to leave you gift's...LOL!!!

I get to go to the doctor's office with my friend Danielle in the morning and she will be finding out what she will be having. She is excited, but disappointed that her husband wont be able to make it. He is out of town with work.
We will be calling him and sending him sonogram pics when we find out everything.

Serenity is starting KINDERGARTEN.

We are looking forward to meet the teacher night on Tuesday and then Wednesday is also the first night for Serenity to start Ballet.
We are looking forward to everything starting and I am ready to get on board with it all.
I feel as though things are going to get real busy real fast and I have to say that I am ready for it. I look forward to the quality time I get to spend with the kids.

T-Ball starts soon and both of the kids are looking forward to starting that.
I cant wait to see the kids all dressed up in the proper attire and ready to go to their destinations. Its going to be an exciting next couple of weeks.

Mercy Me Bus Accident

Examiner.com

  • Christian music group, Mercy Me, was involved in a bus crash that left two adults and an unborn baby dead. The tour bus was hit by another vehicle that carried several passengers, one including a pregnant woman. All passengers of the Mercy Me tour bus survived without injuries. Unfortunately, the passengers in the other vehicle, including the unborn baby did not survive the accident. Mercy Me posted a message on their website, asking people to pray for the victims’ families.
  • It reads, “Please join us in praying for the families of the car that hit our bus last night. Our hearts break for their families.”
  • The accident occurred at approximately 1:15 a.m. early Saturday morning in northeastern Indiana.
  • Eye witnesses told a Fort Wayne police officer that the bus was going through a green light about 1:15 a.m. when the car made a left turn in front of it. Two passengers in the car, a male and female, were pronounced dead; their names have not been released pending notification of their families. Kara Klinker, the pregnant 18 year old driver - who was in her third trimester - was hospitalized in critical condition; her baby died.

The band released a statement:

  • "MercyMe would like to express their incredible heartache over this horrible accident. They are praying for the families of all who this will affect, and are asking others to please pray as well. The band and crew sustained minor bumps and bruises, however their hearts are heavy. They appreciate the concern they have received from people all over the world."

Crazy Weekend

We have a crazy busy day ahead of us tomorrow and the rest of the weekend.
I am looking forward to getting up early in the morning and taking the kids to the beach.
Hopefully we can get there early enough to beat the heat, but I doubt it with the way that the heat is here in South Texas.
HAHA!

I am looking forward to heading to Weslaco on Sunday to celebrate Reuben's birthday as well.
He just moved there for a new job, so we are heading that way and are going to celebrate with him at his new place. I am looking forward to it because we wont get to see him for a lil while after Sunday. At least not until Andrew's t-ball season starts...which is really just around the corner. Andrew is excited about it as well as the rest of the family. FINALLY something that he can be in.
Serenity starts Ballet and Jazz in about a week give or take a few days. We are excited about that for her as well. Looking forward to it actually. I have all of her leotards and tights and her new shoes that she needed ready and waiting to go.

I am also looking forward to the Country peddlers show this weekend... I have been waiting for that as well.
The kids are excited to go to the Aquarium and then I think that we are going to relax at the water gardens.
We will see how it goes.
Honestly;
I am just looking to have a great time with my family.
